Look at the 07 G35. For one year it ran the VQ35vhr. The Z ran it for 2 07/08.
In 08 the G already had the VQ37vhr. then in 09 the 370z followed, debuting with the same engine So you never know? it's always a weirdly timed surprise with nissan?
they might earn the extra money for the refreshes by having a year 7 carry-over year???

The G35 coupe never had the HR, only the 07-08 Z & new 07 G35 sedan did. The coupe jumped from the VQ35DE Rev up to the VQ37vhr during the redesign. Probably the only 2 years the Z had a different (better) power train than the G coupe. Nissan should've kept it that way, but it's all about cost savings with Carlos Ghosn.
