You can just turn off SR if you want to engine brake with tranny while down shifting.

At first I didn't like the SR because I have been use to heel/toe shifting for many years, it was a learned skill that I wasn't ready to give up.

After driving the car for over 1000 miles now, I have succumbed to it, I can say that once you get use to it, it just makes sense. Just mash the brakes and downshift and it hits the engine revs perfectly every time, there are very few drivers that can do that every single time. SR is something I feel that a lot of other MT cars will have on them in the future. It works good!, and if you don't want it, turn it off.
