I love the way they look. I honestly do. But I'm a big fatty, so there was no chance I could own one.

It's not necessarily as fast as its competition in the price range (vettes, porsches, etc), but it'd probably be as fast as you need a car to go. It's a pretty unique and beautiful car to look at.

I don't know if conditions have improved, but I have friends who own older Lotuses and have trouble finding shops to work on them, and when they find them, they charge an arm and a leg. But if cost of maintenance isn't a big issue, I say go for it.
