I had to stand in the pouring rain, sans umbrella, awaiting an opportunity to cross the road in front of the hospital in order to get to the employee parking lot. I simply had to stand there and wait as people drove by (without stopping) at a maddening 15mph, warm dry and completely oblivious to my plight.
