Acceleration out of corners becomes rapid and repeatable. Just bury the throttle and the system does the rest; constantly adjusting the power of the engine every thousandth of a second, searching for maximum grip
It's really neat system from a technical point of view. In general I'm in favor of driver aids (for instance, I don't mind dropping the clutch from the car for paddle-shifters), but this in particular is sort of the last and most defining real driving skill. Put this on the car and it's basically self-driving on the track. It's doing for you one of the primary things you're supposed to be learning to do for yourself. It's undoubtedly a huge and useful upgrade for an overpowered street car driven by someone who hasn't learned how to control such a car. That's a lot of tuners dropping big turbo kits on cars, I guess. But on the track, I'd argue you're better off just driving an car with less power until you learn to control it yourself instead of installing a system that does it for you and prevents you from learning to do it yourself.
