I am totally with you on the over powering bass.

If your into dubstep your going to want not only a solid set of components that can handle good mid bass but a sub as well.

Speakers I would recommend are Hertz HSK165 or Image Dynamics CXS's

Any head unit would do, I just recommend kenwood or alpine over pioneer. Whatever you do if your trying to save money, stay clear from crutchfield. Way over priced.

As for a sub, you could get away with a RF punch series but I would recommend alpine's type-r 10 inch instead.

Amp, alpine PDX-V9 or you can go with 2 amps of a good brand if you would like.
