Not much. Unless you plan on laying on your back where the seat was located.

I did mine when I had the dash out and while it was up on jack stands.

I would recommend leaving the seat in. Put the car up on ramps or jack stands and cover the sill with a towel so it doesn't get scratched. Having the car higher helps.
