Being I hadn't heard back, the car is going in the body shop this morning to fix the paint were an A-hole grounds crew mowed next to it and out of town on a business trip next week....wanted to make hay while the sun was shining. (really did want to get the car in last week for tuning)
Anyway downloaded the latest version of the Cobb software and spent the afternoon Friday on the dyno mostly tweaking the fuel/air as potential track time is kinda running out this year. Did do a couple of pulls attempting to play with the timing and your absolutely correct about the timing being dynamic.
Really hard to get the pulse of the beast but also appears your correct in that it has a bit too much timing in the midrange and that's causing the computer to go bonkers. Difficult to tune as you put 2 degrees in, it pulls some out. You add two degrees and it pulls some timing out. Plus the overall timing is 3 degrees more than the last log session. In addition, who knows if the Cobb software is working correctly but it did seem to work on air/fuel.
Hey, nothing hard about tuning these things is there.??
