If you have the tracking number, call FedEx at 1.800.463.3339 and request for them to do a "hold at location" delivery.
FedEx will hold your item at the local station until you decide to pick it up. I'm not sure how long they'll hold it for, but it's worth a shot. Either that, or sometimes the item will arrive at the station in the early morning hours (like 3AM) and you can have them hold it so you can pick it up the same morning you leave!
Call them before the 29th (delivery date) lol.
