Umm... it has whatever DeWalt put in it I'm pretty sure it has a clutch because that's what slips when you exceed the torque you have set. Is slip clutch used in an impact driver?

many of the tools look worn and dirty, but they are far better quality than the comparable tools you buy nowadays. I like my tools dirty, it means they're well used and battle-tested
ahhh, i have a 9.6v or something by ryobi from the days. got that for father's day like 7-8yrs ago. battery died in no time.

yah, slip clutch on the driver when torque is exceeded. my corded drill does not have it. my cordless driver obviously has it.

my impact driver has a hammering action to add more torque to tighten or loosen, but does not have a torque slip dial. so you have to kind of learn how many sec the hammering is needed to reach a certain amount of torque, then use a torque wrench from there. my 18v impact (3/8 drive) has about 160lbs/ft so it had no problems loosening the nuts during the swaybar i installed a few weeks back. it's a handy compact tool to have to do these smaller jobs.
