I'm not counting on too much of a weight drop with the new Mustang, even if they downsize it bit. Dropping weight costs money and I think they will already have a tough enough time hitting the right price point.

If they finally shed some of the "feature" bodywork and shrink it down, I could see it losing a couple hundred pounds, which would be amazing IMO. If they finally equip it with enough tire, I'm not sure there will be much that competes out of the box.

I thought they were finally stepping in the right direction when the track pack got some tires that were only 20mm thinner than the 370z, but then they handicapped the GT500 again....so who knows


I guess the good news is, tires are easily replaced. At least, that's what I hear. I've never owned a car long enough to replace the tires
Yeah, the trick is going to be going IRS and reducing weight, while keeping cost down...
