So, my Son is in town and first thing yesterday morning around 9AM I say, "Hey, lets go for a spin down to the Navy Fed to the ATM". Its about 8 miles up Highway 1 (Jefferson Davis Highway). We head up and I'm not getting on it too much because I tell my son that the cops are all over the place on the weekend and I don't want a ticket. We travel the 8 miles to the bank and hit up the ATM, then we start to head back and there is a section where it is 45MPH with little antique shops all along the road. I'm behind a mid sized truck towing a small trailer with the blue tarp over the top. Not paying attention that I might be speeding I am behind him not passing like I could have since it is four lanes. Just then the county Po Po rolls past in the opposite lane and I point him out to my Son and as I look in the rear view I see his lights turn on! I laugh and say to my Son, "Look, he is after someone". Then I see him turning around
. I immediately slow down to let him pass. He catches up to me and I realize its me he wants to pull over. He checks the license and registration asking me if I knew why he pulled me over? I told him I suspected it was because I was five over the limit coming through that slow area. He said he had me at 59MPH!! I give the "Oh wow" look to him as I truly didn't realize that since I was behind a truck towing a trailer and actually commented to my Son about how slow he was going and that I should just pass him. He said he was letting me off with a warning and chided me a bit. I was more than willing to accept and drove the 2.5 miles back to my home at 45MPH. Lesson learned and bullet dodged.
