I come from an FD. So if you thought the Z was the second coming of an FD? Not gonna happen. The FD was one of the best cars ever made. in the handling department...
The FD was plagued with cooling, oil consumption and reliability issues that make the Z look very reliable though.
But the z is the perfect compromise between precision and muscle.
It's just you got caught up with the wrong crowd and you just really don't understand what Nissan was trying to do with this car.
The complaints are valid.
oil cooling weak, slightly too front heavy, Can still use to shed a minumum of 200 extra lbs. and VVEL is on the course side.
But these are just things that have been overstated by most. And honestly most people who trade for a different car quickly made the same mistake you did. They thought the Z was something it's not.
And the 350z used to either tie or beat the 4.6 mustang v8. That was one of the biggest selling points for the Z33. Now that the Z34 was eclipsed by the 2011 5.0. That selling point is no longer their and everyone is running back to mustang, even though the Z34 is wayyyyy better than the Z33.
So in the end. I don't buy into some people saying they buy for the driving experience when there actions prove different.
If people drove for the driving experience... What would be cooler than a precision muscle car? The japanese mustang. So much slower, but so much more fun on the street, with more feedback to boot.
I don't care what you like, drive or whatever. Just be objective. All your complaining is completely one sided.
HONESTLY, YOU BEEN CONTRACTING YOURSELF OVER AND OVER AGAIN
