Some people get it and some don't is what I've been told, but it's because the LEDs require less power to run and that extra power that is there for the regular bulbs keeps them somewhat glowing. 
That's another reason I want to swap out the LEDs in the map light. |

dang, that would suck if the LED is slightly lit while motoring... i hope mine are weak enough it doesn't do that. wont know until next weekend cause it's probably going to rain this weekend
and if it doesn't, im pulling out my G.
will post up picts later tonight when i get my LED's in.
