We didn't shift gears. Wigan ran out of steam. I've never seen a defender as lazy as Scharner coming up from the clearance. Poldi could've camped next to Joel (the Wigan GK) and still been onside, by the looks of it. Ramsey's goal was ridiculous too, the GK gave the near post away. I don't care how shifty-eyed Aaron looked (I myself was screaming for him to cut back to Podolski for his hat trick), you DON'T give that much space to any EPL midfielder / forward!

He could get the fourth if you stretch the definition of "assist" - I think he gave the pass to Ramsey, who ambled into the net without a care in the world, and nobody else touched the ball - but I think a hat trick of assists will suffice quite nicely, thank you.
