I drive mine daily, you'd think the GTI would be my daily but the Z is more fun. GTI only when I need more room in the car.

Things you need to know. Your 335ix is quieter, smoother, roomier, has better vision and easier to get in & out of. Plus awd & turbo, so a different driving experience.

The Z has noise, road noise (can be reduced with dynamat on doors & hatch, not hard to do) and engine noise at higher rpm's. You will feel the bumps more in the Z vs the 335ix, however it's not bad or jolting in any way. Blindspot & rear view is bad, setting up your rear view mirrors properly is important. The Z being lower will require a little more effort on your part getting in & out, hey but I'm 55. All that being said, after 9 months of ownership I really enjoy owning and driving this car!

I did go to the BMW dealer here locally and test drove a 335I Coupe and an M3 before deciding to purchase the Z. While the BMW's had so many positives and very few negatives, the bottom line is, I enjoyed driving the Z more! I guess I wanted more of a sports car feel and the Z provided that for me.

I say go for a test drive and not just a 10 minute one. Take it on all the different roads you like to drive on and give it some gas. Good luck on your search.
