I went to a Wednesday wedding in the east bay, where horrible traffic exists. I spent 45 minutes in the morning (oil change) in stop and go traffic, followed by another hour that evening. As far as the clutch went, once again I think the cry babies who complain about their left leg are correct in their minds. I'm old and grew up playing outside and walking, so I developed leg muscles thankfully.
It was nearly 11pm before I was back on my normal daily drive. Since it was so late I was seemingly alone on the road. I did see a cop having already pulled somebody over. Since he is busy and I am alone why not exploit the situation.
Sorry no camera. I thought I might be able to make a personal best home but I was so tired, I was sloppy in my driving. Because it was night time I could cut a few corners but I was cutting them because I was not under normal control. I backed off 10% and everything cleared up.
The best thing to take away from this is to know your limitations. Yet I had one more turn to attack with VDC off. I screwed this one up as well. It is not that others would view my driving as out of control but I knew I wanted to be 6 inches left or right. The last turn I missed by a couple feet and ended up in the other lane a bit. I was all alone but I like to place my car exactly where I want it. I disappointed myself.
So ended my spirited drive home. I didn't need to set a personal best, nor was I likely to break it anyway. I just drove home the last two miles at anothers' normal speed, and couldn't wait for bed. I was so stimulated by driving, it took more than an hour to drift off.
