I know you autocross & such so this isn't really directed at your experience but... I don't thing most people are good enough drivers to get the full potential out of
much slower cars than the Z. I'm not. I have no problem admitting it. If I were, I'd be a professional driver in auto racing, or a stuntman, or something like that. Most of these jokers going on about these magazine times are just like me except they won't admit they're not professional driver caliber.
Is the Z perfect at 9- 9.9/10? I dunno, I don't drive it like that, I'm not pretending it's a race car. It's got ample grip on a warm dry day and it's damned fun when you push it a little - and it's still a good cruiser when you're not.
And for what it's worth, I love the "heavy" feel of the steering. One thing I really hate about most cars I drive these days is how slow and over-boosted the steering feels.
