Default Clutch pedal misbehaving

Hi All, ...

Looking for some advice/comments on a "quirky" clutch pedal. Vehicle is a 2013 MT sport with less than 200 miles on the odometer. Last night I noticed that the clutch pedal makes a rubbing (almost popping) sound at the upper end of its return travel ... and seems to "spring" for the last 1/2 to 1 inch of travel. Problem wasn't obvious before last night. There's no issue with engaging or disengaging the clutch itself, and shifting is clean and smooth. It's more of an annoyance, but just want to check whether it could be signalling the start of a bigger problem. Couldn't see anything obvious on a quick visual inspection. I may take a more thorough look this evening. Obviously, the car is under warranty, but I don't want the hassle of taking it to the dealership for something that might be a simple DIY fix. Any suggestions are invited. Thanks much!
