So I have had fuel starvation in the past (mainly on the track) but never actually got stranded from it (just lost power for a few seconds).
I only had it happen once on the road and that was in a hard/long right turn and I was very low in gas (2 dots).
Fast forward to recently...
Well the day before my birthday last month taking a big 270 degree off-ramp which i took kinda hard but had over a quarter tank so didn't think it would be a problem but sure enough I got stranded. Kind of in a bad spot too I let my car roll down a bit to get in a better spot. I was hoping it would recover like in the past but later I realized that because it was so uphill it did not recover.
Here is where it happened (where onram/offramp started and I ended up):

And today. Less than a month of getting stranded on the 71 now I got it on the 15 south. I really was not expecting it this time. I was down to 3 dots but it wasn't that hard of a right turn. I lost power as I was accelerating and shortly after I got into third gear. Not only was the right not very sharp but the incline was much less this time again but i guess due to it being up-hil the car can't recover. After filling it up after I still had > 2 gallons of gas left.

Seems to me that this is going to happen at a bad time for someone at some point and possibly cause an accident and Nissan is going to get hit with a lawsuit. I wish they had a fix for this. Needless to say I am going to be extra careful from now on.
