MX52Z, actually you purchased more than a full 2 months before the change over to the revised pedal arm the first week of March. Unfortunately small improvements are made along the way as new things are discovered and small details are addressed.
I 100% would not hesitate to install your rev1 pedal assembly as the R2 change is extremely minor in the grand scheme of things and 95% of all the reviews posted here in this thread and in the drivetrain review thread are from happy Rev1 customers. The addional adjustment range offered by the newer design only affects a very small percentage of customers who actually need or wanted additional range for more exotic clutch setups. Otherwise the R2 adjustment point is simply a more convienient place to make small pedal height changes without needing to touch the clutch rod adjustment.
While I don't have a photo handy I did see a photo in SPOHN's journal/build page showing the new arm. To put it in the most basic terms I simply cut the rev 1 arm in half and put it back together with 3 bolts to allow the two halves to pivot in the middle. The upper arm adjuster assembly and the lower pedal pad section remained completely unchanged. Maybe I should have called it the R1.1 instead.
