It will serve its purpose for the time being and make the blemishes on the wheel less noticeable. I just had new tires installed at the local dealer and they scratched both my front wheels on the machine. They repainted the lip and re-cleared the whole wheel. This is your best method for repair. It cost $125 per wheel. I thought about paying to have my rear wheels redone as there are some blemishes from road debris nicking the spokes up.
