Clutch in
Shifter to 3rd, shifter to 4th shifter to 5th
clutch out


That said, hopefully they can get it working like you want it to!

Edit: Here's a tip, give the transmission's input shaft longer to spin down before trying to put it into the higher gear. That'll take the strain off of the synchros.
