Collected 370Z today- Bitter Sweet
Picked up the new 370z today, colour Titanium - woo hoo!!
For those in both US and UK, the Oz models come in two models Manual or Auto. (Mine is the Auto). They are pretty fully loaded, except for 19" wheels, but bloody well ought to be considering the Ozzie cost ($70k ish, translates to about USD $63K and GBP 39K) so let's not go there with comparisons, you'll only make me feel bad.
Unfortunately a very wet day over here in Sydney/Central Coast so didn't get a real chance to go over the body work in detail. But on drive home did pick up on two large extrusions on the rear bumber adjacent to the Rear Park sensors, didn't spot them at the dealers. Probably the result of over zealous fitter installing the park sensors. Dealer will be fixing this at the first service.
Didn't want to reject the car outright as I'd be still managing without a 2nd car, except for my Skyline GTR which is not really suitable for general usage. Dealer very apologetic, so he should be his Quality Control system failed miserably.
Unfortunately my work commitments and a very wet day has seen the car locked up safely in the garage. Weekend will be the opportunity to have a better look and get accustomed to the features (need a week to work out the GPS if the size of the operators manual is anything to go by.)
Will post pix when the Sun comes out.
ps Is there a moon still out there? I believe NASA has been conducting destructive testing of its space hardware.
