It's possible. Not probable, but it's possible. Or maybe the TCM has some "permanent" memory that gets cleared at the same time (I don't know if that's true or not).

More often than not, "resetting the ECM" (pulling a battery cable) is a nothing-else-has-worked-let's-see-what-happens proposition. Doesn't work as often as rebooting a computer will.
