Lol, been using that name for 15 years since I had my old Z, just kind of stuck and I figured it's still kind of relevant here...lol. Strangely enough, I haven't noticed the surging as much with the "S mode" disengaged. It still happens periodically but not every stop light as before. I didn't know that about the clutch. I really hope there is indeed something wrong with mine. I would hate to think this is how it is supposed to shift. If I was really going through the gears all the time, I could probably deal with it, but most of my driving is in town, stop and go stuff. I can't make a smooth shift at all, unless I wait about 3-4 seconds between each shift for the rpm's to come back down....and that's no fun at all (at least for me it's not).
