Default GusGus91's CY 370z Journal

So I got the car bone stock in March and found a nice little place for a photo-op just before Infineon in Sonoma on the way back home Reno.

15 min after we left the dealer I ordered the Invidia Gemini catback w/ Invidia catless test pipes because I can not stand not being able to hear the car. When I received the exhaust I was impressed as always with the quality of Invidia products. Great build quality, beautiful finish, good fitment, etc. Im very happy with the exhaust although I'd really like to get the Fast Intentions long tube headers to get a little more power and sound out of the car, but unless I can find a local tuner, I dont see that happening any time soon. :-/

A couple weeks ago I installed the Stillen G3 cold air intakes. Super easy to install, add's some eye candy under the hood, has decent power gains, and made the exhaust note louder which is a bonus for me!

Next I ordered some wheels. Since I'm way off of being able to afford the Work Meister S3's that I want, Rota grids would have to do for now. I ordered them in 19x9.5 front and 19x10.5 rear w/ offset of +15. At the moment they're wrapped in Pilot Super sports. I'm liking the tires so far, but I have yet had a chance to really push the car to see how well they hold up. Anyways, the front looks good, but the rear bugs me since it is still sunken into the rear wheel well so much still! So I ordered some extended ARP studs for the rear, and have a couple of nice spacers to throw back there as well to hopefully get them out a tad bit more.

After a couple days, I couldn't handle the wheel gap so I ordered up some BC Racing br series coilovers. I picked these mainly because I've had 2 set's of the on my other cars before, and their good performance for such a reasonable price. I'm still having a love hate relationship with the ride height of the car though. As it sits now the front tires rub the fender in moderate to hard cornering. I'm going to try and stiffen the coils up a little bit before I jump to rolling fenders since they're set to full soft right now.

One day I decided to go on painting spree so I painted my front and rear emblems and my door handles. Door handles didnt turn out good at all because I was in a rush to get them back on and didn't let the paint cure all the way so when I put them back on, you could see my finger prints in the paint so I went ahead and ordered new OEM silver ones again and just put them on since I ****** up and put the black ones on a shelf to sit useless. A couple weeks later a good friend of mine surprised me with a pic of my door handles that he had stolen from me, stripped, repainted and 3m CF wrapped for me! The turned out awesome, now I just need to throw them on the car!

As far as pointless aesthetics go I ordered a front lip which I have been way too lazy to put on. Still deciding if I want to paint match it to my emblems or if I just want to leave it as it is since it's just going to scrape on everything. And on the interior for now I have a Nismo knob and JPM Coachworks alcantara shift boot. Nissan can go to hell for the amount of locktight that they put on the stock shifter. It took 2 vice grips to get the stock knob off, which then resulted in complete annihilation of it. I hope to do some carbon fiber pieces on the interior soon just to give it a little definition since it's all just really black and plain at the moment. I also need to get off my *** and try and install my head unit, which I'm really not looking forward to since I've never done one.

Anyways, this is just an update on the car. I'll update every once and a while.
