Do what I did: Join a car club. Been in a car club for 5 years and have since learned a LOT about cars... Most car clubs will have a good turn-out of people that build their own cars and know what they're doing (and some that don't. LOL). Learning from a forum is going to take you much LONGER to learn what you're asking. It takes time no matter what and lots of commitment, but if you're really serious about it, get yourself a project car, join a club, and get your hands dirty!
