I quickly modified your image as this is what I always imaged it should look like or some version of the boomerang as the light signature. More of a solid band of light versus the landing strip (which I think is also cool).

I also added a front view image. This should be on the rear as well and would make a strong statement and would look very new and exotic I think.

I hope some company or someone will make an aftermarket lamp like this for the 370Z.
