My MB had TONS of rattles. Everywhere, anywhere. It's what I got for buying the first year of production. Anyhow...

Have someone else drive and start pushing down on different areas near seams where the sound is coming from. When you find a spot that stops the rattle, take a small piece of double sided tape like 3M body tape (about 1/2" x 1/8") and push it down in the seam with something like a paint scraper. Push it as far as it will go so you don't see it. Repeat as necessary. Anything to separate and / or wedge the panels will work, the advantage to using double sided tape is that it won't work it's way out.

I'll bet I had 50 pieces of it in my Mercedes to stop all the rattles - but you couldn't see a thing.
