Default Before you got into modding, what did you think made cars look good?

I remember before i truly understood how the separate concepts of modding for aesthetics (lowering, spacers, flush fitment, offset on wheels, combinations of lip kits, color matching) worked, I had a very Need For Speed understanding of what made a car look good.

I used to think all you need to do is slap on a bodykit and there you go, car looks good

Also, I used to believe that bodykits are pretty much sold in one single piece that changes the entire body of the car

Never even knew that separate panels like bumpers existed. First time I saw a lip kit and the price for it I thought "wtf what a rip off?!?!?! this isnt even a body kit and costs out the a$$"

Good days. This was about three years ago, graduating highschool with a getto jetta thinking im thug life on the streets.

Tell your stories gentlemen.
