Dealer sells a used car as close to retail price as they can.
You can usually by a new model for below dealer invoice.
Simple example back in the 90's a nissan dealer tried to sell me a used 1992 Nissan pickup for $7500 retail.
I told him I wasn't going to pay that much for a used truck and then told me they could sell me a new 1993 Nissan with a lot of factory add ons for only $7000.
That's why its always important to find out what you can buy a new model of the car you want buy in a clean cash deal, before you even consider a used one.
