I hear a whining sound but it really does not concern me. In fact, I was relieved to discover that it was not my differential.
On the street I used to regularly see temps of 220 when cruising and 240+ when driving hard. Now, I cruise locked to 180 and there is no way to get it over 210.
I understand that when you start modifying your car there will be unintended consequences. For example, the ambient temperature gauge no longer works because of the added heat of the cooler. I can live with that.
