I'd call what I'm using "traditional" - see pics - but I don't know a lot about scope terminology. The biggest (physically) scope I have at this time is a 6-24x44 that is about 17" long (requires rings/mounts that are on the high side). I would like any quick-change mount I get to be able to handle up to 50mm objectives.
I have a set of Weaver Lever Lok rings that have a lever on the rail clamp screws so that they can be tightened without tools. They work well, but I'd like to find something along the same basic design as the ARMS unit.
Any suggestions for reticles? I target shoot the .22LRs at 25, 50, and, occasionally, 100 yds and the .223/5.56 at 50, 100 (and 200 yds when I feel like doing a lot of walking). I'm mainly after elevation adjustment; ranging is a distant second. I currently have two scopes with mil-dot and two with 30/30 reticles. I'm not a big fan of the 30/30 (especially with the .22s at longer ranges) and I'm still having problems doing the mil-dot ranging calcs in my head .

It's kinda hard for me to make a single recommendation based on your criteria. But I can say is, if Midway doesn't have it? You probably can't get it?
