It has my vote. The difference in viscosity and performance will be negligible. Ie, for all intents and purposes 75W90 and 80W90 are interchangeable. At least for a DD; if you are tracking the car, it might make a little bit of difference.
The type of oil and the additives will make much more difference in performance than a few viscosity points (especially since, as DE.50 points out, once they warm up, they have the same viscosity).
