I have little faith that people will live up to their word. The painter has already missed his own deadline, I have doubts he'll meet the next deadline. I would rather he be up front with me and say I don't have time, or I'm not comfortable working on your stuff (if thats the case) so I can move on.
Perfect won't happen, and I don't expect it to. If I can fulfill my expectations, I'll be satisfied.
