And you can still lock the doors even when the vehicle is in gear?

A conventional key will not be removed from the ignition unless the vehicle is in either neutral or parked gear. I don't know, I drive manual. We have "intelligent key" for the dumb drivers, so I figure will have the same effect. When vehicle not in P or N, doors won't lock.
