For me, the only image that matters to me is the one I'm thinking about in my head, and that's me being behind the wheel, hanging the *** out, and loving the driving experience. Hell, look at the cars I own. One of them gets called a "mullet mobile" on a weekly basis, while the other one continuously gets called a "ricer." Know what? I guess I'm a ricer with a mullet, and I really don't care, because in the end, I have a straight-line sledgehammer and a "canyon carver."
I never understood the whole, "What kind of image I would be portraying" thing. Maybe I'm wrong, but I always thought that "image" was based on personal hygiene and the way one carried himself/herself, NOT by the car one drove.

A lot of people get cars for image. That's one of many reasons to buy a car... It's not wrong. Why buy a Movado watch when you can buy a Fossil or Swiss? Why buy an LV bag when you can buy any other kind of bag? etc. etc. you get my drift, people want to be portrayed as this or that possibly.
