The most important part of a BOV install is keeping the length of the vacuum hose between the intake manifold and the BOV as short as possible.

The new BW turbos have the BOV integrated on the compressor cover for example...it does not matter where the BOV is located, as long as the proper size hose is used and the length is kept reasonable.

With the twin scroll kit, the BOV is just before the intercooler inlet. The instructions say to drill/tapp the front most part of the intake manifold to reduce the vacuum hose length. This configuration works just fine.
