Verts are an acquired taste. We went with it since it was replacing a very well loved 1992 Miata. I don't regret it per se but its not without its flaws.
Those flaws tend to move to the background from April-October when the top is down 90% of the time. :P
The 370 team clearly had the roadster in mind during design vs. the 350. One of the challenges with design is how good the top looks up. The 370 gets a solid B in that area IMHO. A mechanical hard top would have been very hard given the space constraints (not to mention adding even more weight to a porky platform).
The only buyers remorse I have is how my wife a year later caught Porsche fever. As good as the Z is...the 981 is better. That being said I drive the Z more then her and I really enjoy the cockpit. I am thankful every day the top goes down. It's a wonderful GT vert for HWY commuting for me, and we will be doing a mid-west road trip in it this summer. I average 22-23 MPG for a reason.
