Australian Auto Action reporting from last weekend states Webber's car lost telemetry on the formation lap which meant that engineers on the pit-wall could not program the clutch for the start and the KERS was inoperative for the first 20 laps ...
WTF ?
Sounds to me like they can do a partial re-boot of bits of the ECU whilst the car is racing ?
Hmmmm ...
See also short write-up is Nissan MotorSport (aka Kelly Racing) move towards the front of the grid with a top-5 finish for Moffat in Race 2. The sleeved down VK56 is still down on mid-range torque (NISMO from Japan have spent 3 days here this week looking for tweaks to improve mid-range torque) and a tad off in top end (Nissan's are consistently 4-5 kph down on top-speed in Adelaide and Albert Park), but they are showing impressive lap-speed on the softer of the 2 compounds available at selected circuits.
Next V8SuperCar round in Tasmania in a week.
