Try the fingernail test. Pick an inconspicuous spot of old paint on the rear bumper cover and poke it with your fingernail. Do the same with the new paint on the front cover. If they feel the same, you should be good to go. If the new paint feels substantially softer, I'd wait another month and try again. YMMV, use at your own risk, &c, &c, &c.
