yah, i can imagine the tense emotions when our luved cars are bumped so i can understand forgetting to do things that aren't really necessary.

i made a note in my smartphone for myself (and the wife) in case we get into an accident. it just shows the items to do and to take record of.

simple things like remembering to get your insurance card back or, taking out your wallet or purse before car is towed, etc. it's good to have a collapsable bag in the trunk to toss in your personal items in case you do need to get the car towed to a bodyshop.
