DATE: Saturday, 27 April, 2013
TIME: 12:00PM to 2:30PM
LOCATION: Summit Point, Winchester, VA
GPS COORDINATES: 39.236840, -77.97345
GOOGLE MAPS: MapQuest Maps - Driving Directions - Map
SUMMIT POINT KARTING SITE: Plan Your Event | Summit Point Kart
COST: GP4 8-15 people = $100, 16-24 people = $90, 25+ people $80
TYPE OF KARTING: GP4. A Grand Prix 4 is a Grand Prix 3 with an added inverted start race (see above link to Summit Point Event Planning for full description). The people who finished first in the first race start in the back for the second race and the people who finished last in the first race start in the front for the second race. This spices thing up. It gives the slow people a second chance and the fast people a challenge. The karts being used are 390cc (13HP). If however, during your laps you are able to qualify via your lap time, you are afforded the opportunity to step up to the 250cc kart for a fee of $40.00 I'm told this is very difficult but not entirely impossible.
DEPARTURE: For those who wish to cruise as a group, we'll depart the Fairfax Meet location at 10:00AM sharp so we can get there and get signed in, pay and outfitted with helmets for those who don't have one. NOTE: Most folks have decided that they will make their way on their own to get to Summit Point. Please make plans to arrive no later than 11AM at Summit Point so we can get everyone paid for and outfitted in time so we don't lose any of our track time in the karts.
LATE LUNCH EARLY DINNER: After we are finished karting, for those who want to stop in Winchester we'll make our way into town and stop for a bite to eat and some cold drinks before making our way home. The place we've agreed to go as a group is:
The Butcher Station (moderate to pricey) (happy hour is 3-6PM)

Reservations have been requested for a party of 12 at 3:30PM. If you did not indicate you wanted to attend lunch/early dinner we can always ask if there is enough room to seat you with the group when we arrive. If not, I'm sure you can still be seated and enjoy a nice meal and cold libations.
*Please contact ZCarMan to let him know you are committed to attending or just post up here.
