Not sure how to take that...I"ve never paid federal, so all of a sudden owing $4500 of which I knew $2300 of that would happen from capital gains, was kind of a shock. It does take away money I would have used for various things including possibly the car. $4500 is $4500 whether I can mod a car or not.
Everyone raise your hands if you think $4500, which is approximately $2,700 more than I would have paid without the capital gains, is ok for the federal government.
If it takes away from my spending, how does that help the economy which creates jobs which helps those without jobs get jobs or keeps people from losing jobs.......
