We might have had Z's in the past that got too luxury and not enough sport? Too heavy and not enough balance... etc but we never got a car that was too ugly.

While looking back in history, the 280zx was probably an ugly car. In 1980, people initially liked the design. It was kinda like the Camaro. Everyone loved it in 09/10, but 11 came and people quickly got tired of the design.
