mr.alcheng- yah, im not worried about soldering a resistor with the aswc. i had to solder 2 resistors on my PAC installs and manually program each of the commands in sequence.

the only benefit i see with the aswc vs pac is that aswc is not HU manufacturer specific (for instance with pac i need to buy one that works with pioneer or sony... kenwood will not work).

i think the commands with the steering controls needs to be manually programmed like PAC unless it'a super popular car like a civic or something. and that's not a big deal for me to program it.
