I searched around on the forum and found a link to courtesy nissan where I found the SKU for the flang nuts. Yeah I know but I wanted factory spec nuts(anal retentive I know). Honestly I didn't realize the extra parts were tapped to the under side of the packing lol. I used the gaskets that came with the Top Speed kit.

SILVERKNIGHT7- I took it to a shop and they wanted over $200 to unsrew the four bolts holding the muffler on so I said screw it I'll do it myself. Damn these pipes are awesome but...At stop lights, there is this smell like some one is burning a straw or melting plastic. My first thought was damn my bumper is burning! I too thought the pipe on the driver side was a little to close to the bumper when I installed the pipes. When I pulled over to check the area around the pipe it felt slightly warm but honestly the bumper has felt warmer being in the sun all day at work.

I sniffed the exhaust and I am pretty sure the smell is coming from the pipes. Is it the rust penetrating spray I used to get the bolts off, is it the new gaskets, or some polish they put on the pipes when they ship? I am not sure. Anyone have any ideas? After the pipes cool off I am gonna try to bend one of the hangers a little to get a little more clearance.

Currently I have about a No2 and 1/2 pencil worth of clearance between bumper and tail pipe. On the driver side I can't get the pencil between the bumper and the tailpipe.

What is a good clearance for the pipes and bumper (should have measured it before I took old ones off)?
