Sounds like you're either getting no spark or no fuel.
Check all the fuses and look for a loose connector in the engine compartment. Edit: A lot of the fuses for the engine are in the IPDM-E/R which is next to the battery. See one of the "pull the SLU fuse" DIYs for info on how to get to the IPDM and fuses.
Is the fuel pump running? Listen for high-pitched whine right behind and between the seats.
