what people forget is when these gains are measured, it's during WOT pulls.. you don't drive around WOT everywhere.. unless you're presto.. so during partial throttle or normal day to day driving, yes of course your immediate power output will suffer. That's why everyones always like, yeah you lose low end torque when you free up the exhaust.. not really

the dyno will show you gain torque all across the board but this is during WOT. It's just the trade off you have to deal with haha
